CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP)-- Two North Carolina football players cited for
marijuana possession this summer have been disciplined by the team, officials
said.

Donte Thorogood, a senior special teams player who was listed as the No. 2
tailback in the preseason, has been suspended from all team-related activities
pending resolution of his case.

Thorogood is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 31, but a Durham County
prosecutor said that, as a first offender, he can have the charge dismissed upon
completion of a drug-education program.

Starting wide receiver Bosley Allen, who had his charge dismissed Oct. 3, was
disciplined for not telling coach Carl Torbush of the charge, team officials said.
