CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Two North Carolina football players were arrested last
weekend on separate charges and have been suspended from the team.

Cornerback Errol Hood was charged on Friday with taking athletic shoes from
a store where he worked in Durham.

Offensive tackle Bryant Cornelius Malloye was charged Sunday with assault at
a Chapel Hill bar. Police said he pushed a 24-year-old woman against a wall
and punched her in the face.

Both players have been suspended from all football-related activities. New
football coach John Bunting had no comment on the charges.
