Police arrested a former high school teacher Thursday for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student. Police charged Clyde Lynn III, 28, with four counts of sexual activity with a student and four counts of statutory sexual offense.

Authorities said the incidents occurred at Green Hope High School in Morrisville dating back to April 2002. The student was 15 years old or younger during the time, authorities said. Lynn was suspended from his job at the school on April 9, and he resigned from his position earlier this week. He is being held at the Wake County Public Safety Center under $340,000 bond. It appears he is the same Clyde Lynn III who was a walk-on for the University of North Carolina men's basketball team during the mid-1990s, but jail officials could not confirm that. A university media guide listed Lynn, who played for the Tar Heels from 1994-96, as an "intervention coordinator and assistant coach (at) Green Hope High School, Morrisville, N.C."

Former UNC walk-on Clyde Lynn III has been hit with some pretty serious drug facing new charges. The charges include possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, and maintaining a dwelling for the possession, sale and delivery of cocaine and marijuana, and felony trafficking of cocaine, according to the N&O.He already faces sexual charges in a case involving a 15-year-old.
