I think it's very odd that King mentioned UNC as a program suited to him. I don't know whether to take that as self-puffery or as a hit at Duke.

RE: Taylor King transferring:)
"Mater Dei coach Mike Calloway spoke to King earlier today. "He hasn't
decided where he's going, but I know he's not staying. He likes Coach K, but
feels he'd fit in better at another school," Calloway said. "He mentioned
UCLA, Southern Cal and North Carolina as possible schools he'd feel comfortable
at.""
This kid may want to hire security and wear a bulletproof vest. To say he'd feel comfortable at Carolina is just blaphemous to the Dook faithful. Talk about sucker-punching the Dook program in the face. Brilliant!

I don't have time to read back through this entire thread, but has this comment
from King's high school coach been posted here?

North Carolina? Can you imagine that?

Re: Taylor King transferring:)
if taylor king is willing to sit out for two years, then i would love to have
him on our team. two years would allow him to learn how to play basketball and
bond with the program.plus,it would provide a laboratory for directly comparing
the player development skills of litre k and roy...
not to mention the embarrassment factor of choosing UNC after playing(?)at dook** !

RE: Taylor King transferring:)
There's no chance in hell that he would transfer to UNC. At least I don't think.
---------------------------------------------
Again, if a player transfers from one ACC school to another, they have to sit TWO seasons. He's not going to UNC or any other ACC school. I'm sure that he's just unaware of the rule.
---------------------------------------------
I like to think that he knows about it but would still like to come to UNC despite of the sit-out 2 year rule. Makes for a much bigger burn for dook. That being said. It would be the funniest thing ever for him to walk-on at UNC just to get the same amout of minutes he was getting at dook. Talk about an "EF you K!" That's as bad as it gets.

Just him saying he'd feel more comfortable at UNC is a pretty substantial parting
shot. The dookies will be fuming over that for years.

My goodness, while I don't think we should accept a Dook player, wouldn't it
be just great if he blossomed into an NBA player under Roy? EVERY recruit would
have that in the back of their minds when comparing us to them.

LOL
Ain't no way he is ever coming to UNC. He will likely head somewhere on the west coast - Gonzaga would be a great destination for him seeing as they play a free wheeling style and they'd be OK with him jacking up 3s and not being the greatest defender in the world. Maybe Oregon, they have that 3-friendly, not-so-much D style.
