Metro police are searching for a suspect in a mugging that took place at
One Georgia Dome Dr. at approximately the :05 second mark of the University
of North Carolina vs Virginia Tech baseketball game. .
Student athlete JT Thompson (shown in photo at right) was assaulted in front of 26,000 witnesses. Suveillance video clearly shows Mr. Thompson being accosted by a white male, approximately 6'9" in height wearing a baby blue and white #50 basketball jersey. The suspect was last seen leaving the scene pumping his fist and chest. Anyone with information please call the ACC Head of Officials office.
